Dr. Alex Murry is one of the characters in the A Wrinkle in Time franchise.

Alex is husband to Kate Murry and father to Meg, Sandy, Dennys, and Charles Wallace.
Alex is a physicist, researching the mysteries of the space/time continuum, specifically five-dimensional means of travel between planets. He has been missing for some time as the novel opens. Not even his government colleagues know where he is! He is usually referred to as Mr. Murry.
A Wrinkle in Time (book)[]
He first appears in a flashback in Chapter One.
In Chapter One, Alex reveals to Meg that he and his wife (Kate), had been giving her and Charles Wallace a number of IQ tests, and reassures her that her IQ is "more than okay". It is also stated that they gave more tests to Charles and Meg than to the twins.
An Acceptable Time[]
His first name is revealed in the fifth and last novel in the Time Quintet: An Acceptable Time.
