Backstory[]
A Wrinkle in Time (Book)[]
Calvin had poor grades in math and sought out Meg's help for his math homework at one point. His parents required him to study to be able to play on his school's basketball team. Calvin was depicted as one of the most popular boys in high school. Neglected by his own family, Calvin joyfully entered the lives of the Murry family. He joined Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit on their journey through the universe and accompanies Meg and Charles Wallace Murry on their quest to find their father.
A Wind in the Door[]
Calvin showed some signs of being able to communicate telepathically, the same power Charles Wallace has, a technique named in later books as kything. Calvin felt as if he had been hiding his true self all his life, and favors the Murry family over his own, which is characterized by abuse and dysfunctional dynamics.
A Swiftly Tilting Planet[]
Calvin is married to Meg and is not seen first-person in this book, although he was mentioned as being in a press conference in London.
Relationships[]
Meg Murry[]
Calvin and Meg are very close, with him looking out for her, and her aiding him. They argue few times, but when they do it is short-lived, as they know it is useless.
Trivia[]
- His gift from Mrs. Whatsit is his communication.
